TOUR “ART AND FLAVOURS OF THE REGION” 2017

The tour Art and Flavours of the Region is an enogastronomic event that takes place entirely in Verona historical centre organized by Fuori Fiera during the fair Vinitaly and The City.

Fuori Fiera is the only official events network that offers post fair cultural events during the Vinitaly, and it operates in collaboration with Veronafiere with the aim to offer the visitors the chance of enjoy the historical and cultural aspects that the Verona patrimony has to offer.

The 4th edition of this tour  offers 4 different walking routes from which you can admire the mail historical monuments of the city and at the same time allows the exploration of the beautiful streets of Verona in order to meet the needs of all the participants.

For those who are more passionate and curious we offer two longer routes of five tasting stops each; while for those who are mainly interested into a cultural and on-the-go aperitif  there are two shorter itineraries available of three tasting stops each.

Every route starts at the Info Point in Piazza Brà where the organizers will distribute to each participant a chalice with shoulder strap, the map of the route and an event  ticket that can  be used as a coupon at the participant restaurant for the following months.

Each route is easily accessible to the participants thanks to the map provided at the beginning of the itinerary. Regardless of the chosen route, every stop will feature a local guide who will entertain the guests with curious facts and anecdotes about the area and the nearby sights.

Every stop will allow participants to enjoy a chalice of wine accompanied by a taste of traditional food.

Maximum of 250 people for each route of 3 tasting stops.
Maximum of 500 people for each route of 5 tasting stops.


TICKET PRICES:

  • €25 -> 5 tasting stops, including:
  • 5 wine tastings
  • 5 typical products tastings
  • a guide on each stop
  • a chalice with shoulder strap

 

  • €15 -> 3 tasting stops, including:
  • 3 wine tasting
  • 3 typical products tasting
  • a guide on each stop
  • a chalice with shoulder strap

* Cost of online transaction excluded (€ 1.80 for the 3 stops, € 2.20 for the 5 stops)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Chalice with shoulder strap, route map, and the Ticket and be collected from the Info Point point in Piazza Brà. The ticket for the 5 Tasting Stops Routes must be collected by 20:00, while the 3 Tasting Stops Routs Ticket must be collected by 21:00.
  • The tasting on the various stops of the route will start at 17:00 and will terminate at 22:45.
  • Tickets online will be available for purchase until 18:00 on the 6th April 2017.
  • Remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the Tourist Information Point in  Piazza Brà from Friday the 7th April 2017.
  • The guides will not escort the clients throughout the whole route, but they will greet them on each tasting stop
  • The participants are free to follow the rou and the tasting stops on the order they prefer and they    are free to take as long as they want on each stop.

 


 

5 TASTING STOPS ROUTES

For each route the meeting point is the Info Point in Piazza Brà.

 

Red Route “Castelli e Rioni” (max 500 tickets)

  • 1° Tasting Stop – Arena

Soave wine “Corte Paradiso” tasting from the Cantina Mosconi (link) accompanied by a home made salame and bread tidbit and some Grana Padano or Provolone produced at the Caseificio Ghidetti.

  • 2° Tasting Stop – Sottoriva

In collaboration with the Osteria “Verona Antica” (link)

Veronese Red Wine IGT “Corte Porta” 2012 tasting, from the Cantina San Rustico (link) accompanied by Basil Risotto Vialone Nano and a Monte Veronese cheese from the Riseria Baschirotto (link).

  • 3° Tasting Stop – Castel San Pietro

In collaboration with the“Teodorico Re” restaurant (link)

Soave wine DOC “Tenuta Grimiani” (link) tasting with a taste of the tasty Culatello or Prosciutto from Soave from the prosciuttificio Masconale (link).

  • 4° Tasting Stop – Rione Carega

In collaboration with the Osteria “A La Carega” (link)

Valpolicella Classico DOC wine tasting, from the Cantina Trabucchi d’Illasi (link) with a taste of the classic veronese gnocchi  from the pastificio Avesani (link).

  • 5°  Tasting Stop – Piazza dei Signori

Blue Route “Castelli e Piazze” (max 500 ticket disponibili)

  • 1° Tasting Stop- CastelVecchio

Soave DOC Vigneto wine “Terre Lunghe” tasting, from the Cantina Vicentini (link) accompanied by a cheese appetizer typical from the Lessinia region, produced at the Cooperativa LessiniaFood (link).

  • 2° Tasting Stop – Rione Carega

In collaboration with the Osteria “La Molinara” (link)

Valpolicella Classico DOC wine tasting, from the Cantina Tommasi (link) accompanied by a taste of the well known tortellini from Valeggio, served with melted Monte Veronese cheese from the Pastificio Avesani.

  • 3° Tasting Stop – Duomo

In collaboration with “Cafè Duomo” (link)

“Appasilento” Rosso DOC wine tasting, from the  Cantina Farina Wines (link) accompanied by a portion of polenta with mushrooms from the Gastronomia Damoli.(link).

  • 4° Tasting Stop – Piazza Erbe

In collaboration with “Caffè Barbarani” (link)

“Teroldego” Classico DOC wine tasting, from the Cantina Rotaliana (link) accompanied of Tortellini from Valeggio topped with butter and sage, from the pastificio Avesani (link).

  • 5° Tasting Stop – Piazza dei Signori

“Verso” Soave classico DOC 2015 wine from the Cantina Canoso (link) accompanied by a focaccia bread topped with tomatoes, cooked prosciutto and Monte Veronese cheese produced at la Costa in Brà restaurant.  

  • 2° Tasting Stop – Terzo Decumano

In collaboration with the pizzeria “Rossa Filante” (link)

“Corvina” Torre del Falasco IGT 2016 wine tasting, from the Cantina Valpantena (link) accompanied by a slice of pizza topped exclusively with products made in Italy.

  • 3° tasting Stop – Piazza dei Signori

Percorso Verde “Verona Medioevale” (max 250 ticket disponibili)

“Fonte” Soave classico DOC 2015 wine tasting, from the Cantina Canoso (link) accompanied by a focaccia topped with cherry tomato confit, lard and pepper.

  • 2° Tasting Stop – San Fermo

Valpolicella Superiore DOC wine from the Cantina Bonazzi Boscaini (link) served with an appetizer of cheese from the Lessinia region produced at the Cooperativa Lessinia Food. (link).
